Waterperry Gardens was the dream of Beatrix Havergal who set up her School of Horticulture for Ladies there in the early 1930s.

Today the gardens feature herbaceous borders, formal knot, rose and alpine gardens, a riverside walk and a lily canal.

In the grounds there is a Saxon church, a museum and a gallery of local arts and crafts.
