Little Comberton has approximately £1,100 of New Homes Bonus funding to spend in 2015/16 on a Community Project.
We have already used some of the funding on the purchase of a defibrillator. After discussion with user groups, we have identified the need for a small marquee for village events such as the Street Market, Jazz Evening and Village BBQ.
At present we are paying out £200 a time for the hire of a marquee. By purchasing our own small marquee we will reduce costs for each event by £200, as well as increasing the capacity of the village hall for community events, for example if the weather is wet for the Queen’s Birthday Street Party the marquee will enable more people to fit into the village hall.
